MUTUAL AND LEAKAGE FLUX
When a load is connected with a secondary winding,so now flux will be generated at primary and terminated at secondary.

look at the graph carefully , most of flux move towards secondary is known as mutual flux while the flux which strikes with walls and link with only one winding is known as leakage flux for example in this on both sides primary and secondary some leakage flux are shown they are only link with one winding 
Some important points to be remember 
1. Leakage flux will be only link with one winding (primary or secondary)
2.Primary will give voltage to the reactive drop

LEAKAGE FLUX CAN BE MINIMIZE 

By increasing the length and decreasing the core of a transformer
By sandwich the primary and secondary coil
By using shell type core
